CaringWorks’ Hope House Shines on WABE: A Story of Second Chances
CaringWorks’ Hope House was recently featured on WABE, Atlanta’s NPR affiliate. In this radio segment, reporter Chamian Cruz spotlights one of our residents and his journey from homelessness and incarceration to recovery and healing at Hope House.
Charles, a 47-year-old artist and musician, shared how he came to Hope House after struggling with his mental health and self-medicating with alcohol. Since then, he’s been working toward stability, sobriety, and independence.
“If it wasn’t for Hope House, I’d be homeless,” Charles said. “But I believe that when my time here is done, that won’t be the case. I will not be a homeless individual.”
Help more people break the cycle of homelessness.
