Dear Friends,

On behalf of the CaringWorks Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Alieizoria (DrA) Redd has been selected as CaringWorks’ next president and CEO, effective Monday, Oct. 5, 2026.

Following Carol Collard’s announcement earlier this year that she would retire after 24 years of leadership, our Board conducted a thoughtful national search, in partnership with Anise Search, to identify the right leader to guide CaringWorks into its next chapter. We are excited to welcome DrA and confident that her extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, social work, and homeless services will serve CaringWorks well as we build upon the strong foundation that has made CaringWorks what it is today.

DrA comes to CaringWorks with three decades of experience in social work and nonprofit leadership, most recently serving as chief executive officer of Covenant House Georgia, following leadership roles at CHRIS 180 and Lutheran Services of Georgia (now known as Inspiritus). Throughout her career, she has led programs and services addressing homelessness, permanent supportive housing, behavioral health, and other complex needs among vulnerable populations.

We look forward to welcoming DrA to CaringWorks and introducing her to our clients, staff, partners, supporters, and community. We are also deeply grateful to Carol for her continued leadership and her commitment to working closely with DrA to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

A Message from Carol

After dedicating so much of my life to CaringWorks, I could not be more pleased to welcome DrA as our next president and CEO. She brings a wealth of experience and perspective to this role, but what means the most to me is knowing that we share a deep passion for helping people escape homelessness and rebuild their lives.

I look forward to working closely with DrA in the coming weeks as she prepares to take on this new role. I am tremendously proud of all that we have built together over more than two decades, and I am equally excited to see what lies ahead for CaringWorks under DrA’s leadership.

CaringWorks would not be where it is today without the many friends who have believed in our mission and supported our work along the way. I am so grateful that you have been part of it, and I look forward to celebrating this exciting next chapter with you.
